THE CHATEAU DE DEGRES

The site of the Château de Degrés has been occupied since the Middle Ages by a church dedicated to Saint Sernin – named Saint Sernin de Curcelles – as well as by a castle rebuilt in 1767. The property is crossed by the Camino de Santiago de Compostela which leads from Conques to Toulouse.

A few minutes from Toulouse, a city of art and history, and Albi, an episcopal city classified as World Heritage by UNESCO since 2010, close to the numerous bastides of Midi Pyrénées, neighbor of the Château de Bonrepos-Riquet, home of Baron de Riquet, Founder of the Canal du Midi, the Château de Degrés overlooks the Girou valley, with the Pyrenees in the background.

This beautiful 18th century residence exudes calm and beauty. Tastefully renovated, its decoration made of old and contemporary furniture, objects brought back from distant journeys, fabrics which populate the large walls, contemporary ceramics and trinkets heathered here and there, does not leave insensitive.

The reception spaces exude the harmony thought by the architect of the building over 200 years ago.
The swimming pool, a 16 meter long pool, extends the dovecote.
